Twin Oaks Historical Mansion,
Linthicum, Maryland:
The Twin Oaks Mansion is a three story, five bedroom mansion built in 1857 by William Linthicum, Great Uncle to Congressman John Charles Linthicum, who is better known for sponsoring the bill approved by Congress in 1931, declaring “The Star-Spangled Banner” our National Anthem. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Twin Oaks was transformed into a Georgian-Revival showplace for the Congressman, who entertained such notables as William Jennings Bryan and General Douglas MacArthur, at the Mansion. Since that time the Twin Oaks Mansion has gone through an extensive restoration to return the home to its original grandeur.
After years of neglect and extensive restoration, The Twin Oaks Mansion is now fully restored and is being used for corporate rentals. The Mansion is now available for corporate events or extended stays for executives working in our lovely State of Maryland.
