As Green living starts to become more main stream, Baldwin Homes has taken a step to not only build green, but to build affordable green homes. For years Baldwin Homes has built our homes using maintenance free and energy efficient products. To take that one step further and build green was an easy step. Our Green features include; panelized construction, light color roof shingles, energy efficient heating and cooling system, water saving plumbing fixtures, upgraded siding and exterior trim, plus much more which will help homeowners save both money and the environment.

Baldwin Homes First Eco-Model is located in Severna Park and demonstrates many of the green features that can be built in any of our homes. The Eco-Model was built to the extreme to show exactly what Green Building is, and how the homeowner will benefit by adding a few energy efficient, low maintenance options.

In 2009, Baldwin Homes is set to embark on one our greenest communities to date. The Preserve at Severn Run in Gambrills, Maryland will be Baldwin Homes 1st all green community. Featuring the nation’s first coastal plains outfall system, this community will be Energy star and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) certified.
